However, the iron-on labels can be removed by steaming them off with an iron. It takes some time, but it can be done with perseverance.

Alternatively, you can “neutralize” the label by ironing another iron-on label on top of it, with the pressure facing downward. This way, the text on the garment cannot be read if, for example, it needs to be given away or sold to others.
